According to Mr. Prior, it’s a hatchback [Or a hot hatch, if you must]. The Power-Beauty-Soul factor of the Rapide compensates for the cramped and “not-for-portly-city-businessman” rear cabin that doesn’t have the same room as the 7er, S-Klasse or Flying Spur, we quite get it sir. To be frank, I think Autocar has a pull with Aston Martin judging by their most recent reviews of the vehicles from the Gaydon, Warwickshire plant… But yays or nays aside, that is one strikingly-gorgeous piece of aluminum. Legit.
What youre looking at is supposedly the first official image of the production Aston Martin Rapide 4-door coupe. Nothing surprising here, LED taillamps, glass roof, 2.5″ taller ride height, 470hp 6.0L V12… Pricing is set to begin where the DB9 ends: the low $200,000 mark. Lets hope actual passengers get to sit in the back of these things more than Whole Foods groceries…
